JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Business Development provides leadership and direction to the organization’s sales function resulting in expansion of MaxCare clients and services, seeking out partnership opportunities via strategic alliances and overall growth performance. This position is responsible for the profitable achievement of the sales goals and aligning the sales objectives with the overall business strategy. This position is also responsible for the execution of marketing strategy for MaxCare.

Major Responsibilities

Position is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain best in class sales structure focused on MaxCare growth and profitability which includes the sales compensation and bonus for sales team.
  • Oversee sales of MaxCare products and services.
  • Affix budgets that are associated with the sales structure and are in line with overall company goals.
  • Establish short and long term sales goals and quotas in line with company’s objectives.
  • Hold sales teams accountable to meeting and exceeding those goals.
  • Build relationships with largest independent groups and business cooperatives as well as working with our TPA, broker, consultant relationships.
  • Develop and execute plans to maximize selling resources including intradepartmental cross training in sales and client retention techniques.
  • Ensure attendance at industry-focused trade shows and maximize attendance to profitably grow company and pursue strategic alliances with other culturally similar organizations.
  • Work closely with all departments to utilize their expertise in their respective department to craft proper sales materials and processes to increase our customer base and generate profitable sales.
  • Coach all departments in methods to improve relationships with clients and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Plan and direct all aspects of MaxCare’s sales processes, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Have a solid understanding of our customer challenges to develop appropriate industry solutions.
  • Present to Board of Directors on growth and sales process, partnership opportunities and results as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Direct planning, forecasting, marketing program development, partner relationship development, collateral material development and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Requirements / Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 10 + years of proven sales experience and success in the independent pharmacy space.
  • Proficiency with computer, Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and CRM
  • Strong business acumen, Strategic thinker, results driven, customer focused and a leader.
  • Excellent time management, listening, prioritization and organizational skills.

Compensation

  • Consistent income with base/bonus structure.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to work remote and travel up to 30% of the time including overnight.
