MaxCare Mail at Retail - Select 90 Rx Program

MaxCare is pleased to announce the implementation of our new Select 90 Rx program for maintenance drugs. Plan members can now get their needs for both maintenance and non-maintenance medications met at one of the many participating pharmacies in the Select 90 Rx network. As an alternative to mail order, plan members choosing to fill their prescriptions for a three month supply can obtain discounts comparable to those offered by mail order companies.

Patients and their doctors enjoy one stop shopping for all of their prescription needs. No more need for duplicate prescriptions or having to remember which prescription goes to which pharmacy. Just take any and all prescriptions to participating Select 90 Rx pharmacy.

No more trips to the mailbox wondering when your medicine will arrive. MaxCare members can have their physician phone or fax their prescriptions to the Select 90 Rx network pharmacy of their choice. Members can arrange for delivery of their prescription at a time convenient for them. Using a local pharmacy eliminates the worry about mail delays especially with last minute refill orders when the patient’s medication supply is down to the last couple of doses.

Using the Select 90 Rx program gives members access to a local pharmacist-- a trusted professional, who often has dealt with patients over the course of many years and in many cases across generations of family members.

Given the number of medications and the complexity of drug regimens it is difficult for many patients to understand the proper way to take medications. The MaxCare select 90 Rx program allows patients to get all their medications from one pharmacy. In doing so, the pharmacist has a complete picture of the patient’s medication history and is available for face to face discussions to answer any of the patient’s medication related questions.

Using the Select 90 Rx Program eliminates the need to give your credit card information over the phone to strangers or over the internet where identify theft criminals lurk. If a member chooses to use a credit card, they can do so in confidence by providing it to the store at the time of pick up or over the phone with a pharmacy staff member that they have met in person on their multiple trips to the pharmacy.
